Compensation:
Our full-time hourly rates are consistently above local market averages, with pay ranging from 15 to 18 per hour for candidates with extensive recent experience.

Benefits:

Position Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to support our teaching team in maintaining a safe, joyful, and engaging learning environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with children, participating in daily classroom activities, and contributing to a collaborative team focused on providing exceptional early childhood experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and routines.
  • Support children during learning experiences, transitions, meals, and outdoor play.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Prepare and organize classroom materials and activity spaces.
  • Encourage positive social interactions and support children's growing independence.
  • Participate actively in classroom projects, outdoor activities, and team initiatives.
  • Follow all health, safety, and licensing requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Strong commitment to providing a positive and engaging experience for children.
  • Willingness to actively participate in all classroom activities.
  • Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and orderly classroom environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Energetic, positive, dependable, flexible, punctual, respectful, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Clean Criminal Background Check.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to commute to South Central Austin or Dripping Springs.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
  • Previous experience in childcare, preschool, camp, nannying, or educational settings.
  • Coursework or interest in Early Childhood Education.
  • Experience with STEAM, Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Waldorf, or nature-based educational approaches.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Interest in gardening, nature, dance, yoga, or outdoor education.
